We are heading for 1,500 blog viewings again this month.
You are not alone - keep it up!

Brick dust on tarpaulin.

Just how I feel!

Springbank is to have a quote from a play by local playwright Howard Brenton built in to one of its walls.
I spent a day at Lamb's brick works impressing the words into the leather-hard clay, before the bricks were fired.

One of the uprights for the divider shelves in the main living room.
These are made from three sheets of crown-cut oak veneered birch plywood, which will be oiled.

One of the brick piers catches the light.
There is a beautiful variety in the bricks, of sizes, shapes and colours.

The bricks.

Springbank's back addition.
The large opening in the ground floor is between the terrace and the kitchen-dining room.
The folding-sliding doors are being fitted next week.

Springbank's bedroom 4.
The plaster stop beads have been fitted, prior to plaster skimming on Tuesday.

The light cornice switched on in daylight.
It gives the room a feeling of "lightness" in both senses, almost as if you are outdoors.

The decoration has started.

Paddock House's  en-suite shower room.
The plumbing first-fix is complete and the area under the shower tray has been tanked.

The first section of the "light cornice" has been fitted in Springbank's bedroom 2.

H stands for Header Course.

Doors in Springbank's bedroom 4.
The hinged door on the left opens into the hall and the sliding door on the right opens into bedroom 3.
These doors echo the corner window on the opposite side of the room.
