The crushed concrete piling mat being scraped away.

The retaining wall is built of hollow precast  concrete blocks.
These blocks are laid over reinforcing bars, then filled with insitu concrete.

Each one will hold 3,750 litres of water, to be used for flushing the WCs and watering the gardens.
